Privacy Policy

This policy covers ar.dualstreets.com, the augmented reality (AR) experiences by DUAL / DUALSTREETS (“we”, “us”). We collect as little as possible, and nothing that identifies you unless you choose to give us your email.

No cookies

This site does not use cookies, advertising trackers or cross-site tracking.

Your camera

The AR experience uses your camera to recognize the artwork. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device. It is never recorded, uploaded or stored by us. Photos you take with the capture button stay on your device unless you choose to share them.

Anonymous usage statistics

To understand how the experiences are used and to improve them, we record anonymous events such as:

• which experience was opened and which QR code or link was used
• steps in the experience: accepting the safety notice, starting the camera, the artwork being recognized, how long that took, scanning tips shown, finishing the experience, photos taken, ratings and survey answers
• errors, e.g. camera permission denied or an unsupported browser
• general device type (e.g. “iOS · Safari”), approximate city and country, and local hour and day of the week

Each visit gets a random ID that only exists while the page is open. We do not store your IP address, and these events cannot be linked to you. Our host, Cloudflare, also provides cookieless, aggregated visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).

Optional: remember this device

If you tick “Remember this device anonymously so DUAL can count return visits. No name or email is attached.”, we store a random ID in your browser’s local storage so we can count return visits. It contains no personal information. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don’t offer this option.

Optional: email updates

If you sign up, we store your email, your name (if given), which experience you signed up from, the date and the exact consent wording you agreed to. We use it only to send updates from DUAL about new murals, AR experiences, events and releases. We never sell or rent your information. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us to be removed.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with Cloudflare (our hosting provider) in the United States. Anonymous statistics may be kept indefinitely. Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

You can use every experience without signing up or enabling optional tracking. To access, correct or delete your email information, contact info@dualstreets.com. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above.
